A Bridge table can help streamline queries that involve analyzing aggregate data, like monthly total visits per patient per department.
In this example, the Bridge table includes only the hash keys of the refer- enced Hubs, excluding the Link hash key. This is done because in this case we focus on aggregating data based on the Patient and Department identifi- ers to calculate the total visits.

On the logical model visualization we can observe how the Bridge table brings the two Hubs and the Non-Historized Link together.
The main difference between the Patient Visits Bridge table and the Check-in Non-Historized Link is the shift to a lower granularity and the calculation of a new field.
